And you're so right about the models appearing large and frumpy. I've had a subscription for several years now, bought individual copies before that, and think I'll let my subscription lapse now. What's the point? The current editors seem to take perverse pleasure in emphasizing unusual stitches or construction techniques while attempting to make the actual sweaters look a dumpy and bizarre as possible-at least VK does bizarre in a more acceptable way! I don't know how IK stays in business.Dorothyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14838513787780887676noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6682587938921608840.post-3756482274729656042011-05-10T17:37:23.941+01:002011-05-10T17:37:23.941+01:00Yay! The only thing I like is the skirt, and I believe there's something really similar to it already up on Ravelry.Tarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03449648133778226089noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6682587938921608840.post-57350550761128814752011-05-09T14:20:54.063+01:002011-05-09T14:20:54.063+01:00Great review.

Lace weight would probably be good too.Marylnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6682587938921608840.post-28614726674930747272011-05-09T07:20:08.450+01:002011-05-09T07:20:08.450+01:00I like the Pebble & Reed Tunic, but that is it...I like the Pebble & Reed Tunic, but that is it...
LOL on the string shirt man!

I agree on the Lanesplitter comment! I have NEVER seen one I liked in it all the years before. Oh well.

Nothing in the adult section that I would knit.Máirínhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14922874950792163098noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6682587938921608840.post-64964304654038798832011-05-08T20:32:55.299+01:002011-05-08T20:32:55.299+01:00I agree with most, some of my own comments on some...I agree with most, some of my own comments on some of them.

Torch Lily Tee- I want to knit it for me, only with a v-neckline.

Mission Cardigan could have been better though it's still a bit pointless, if it had cabling along the seams and along the shoulder seams... a missed opportunity for some detail there.

Swirl Skirt - DKC knit the one from Knity, Lanesplitter, the difference is gores, I kinda like it, but I wouldn't wear it. (I so need to design some longer skirts for me)

Amelia Hoodie - I think it might be nice without the hood and using the hoodie edging for a neck edge

I'm still not sure about the Pebble and reed tunic and whether or not it might be a bit too open, I like the shape though!

I'm kinda entertained that the ones I like I want to adapt a fair bit.Deirdrehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01262189115116664320noreply@blogger.com
