Lookee! I've finished Dad's Vest:
I love it! What do you all think? I would have preferred if I could have made the centre cable "disappear" a bit better at the v neck, but I think it looks good.
I'm pleased overall, it only took me 11 days! Super speed.
I've finished one Jaywalker and am just after the cuff on the second. No rush, these are SnB knitting anyway.
In other news, hubby has asked me for another jumper for his birthday! Can you believe it! I'm speechless. His birthday is Feb 29th, so we celebrate on March 1st. That leaves me 4 weeks to get it done, one of which I will be away with my parents so not too many opportunities to knit. Should be ok, right? I know I knit Dad's vest really quickly, but he's a small man and there were no sleeves. The last jumper I made for hubby took me ages, (along with all the mini crises! ) He wants it in navy too (!)
I guess I'll just see how it goes.
Any ideas for patterns for it? He's quite fussy so I'm not sure. I showed him Cobblestone and he didn't like it. He only likes round necks too. Maybe I should just pick out a cable or stitch pattern and go with the flow again?

Look what we had for dessert today; apple pie!
Isn't hubby a great cook?

Well done on the vest! It's great, I bet your Dad will wear it lots.
Yeah, you know your dad will wear it heaps! I like the front cable... it makes it look like a vine has grown up the front on its own!
Now you can cast on some brown socks Ü
Guys seem to like plain jumpers, don't they? Kind of dull to knit (50,000 stitches of st st). Still, it would be nice to have your knitting in demand! Good luck!
That's a pretty vest. I'm sure your dad will love it.
And yuuuummmm .... that apple pie makes me hungry. I'm attempting yeast buns with marmalade today.
Looks great, well done. I'm sure your Dad appreciates the Knittin' Love too.
As for the hubby's one, definitely go with the flow and put your own design on it. It will make the race to the finish all the more interesting and you can be so proud of it when it's done.
Looking forward to progress reports.
The vest is beautiful! Your dad is so lucky.
And that pie...that looks delicious. I've never seen a more perfect crust.
Congrats on your very first pattern! I'm speechless, truly. Did you give it to your Dad yet? He'll be so proud!
Hey, at least your hubby likes knitwear. All Phil wants is socks.
W-O-W (and I'm not talking about the game here) that was some quick and good looking action there! I'm sure your Dad will love it.
And yum, what a gorgeous pie!
